I saw this on sale at gamersgate and it said right there that there was LAN fun to be had. I only have the old version of it installed on steam, so when I tried to back that up to install on my other computer, it kept telling me that I already had it installed, but couldn't install it. I have the worlds worst internet and I can't play on the internet, let alone download the new version which I can't play anyway. How can I install the old LAN version on steam? Can I just move over a folder or something? I know that disk version have LAN.
But steam version? I had Company of Heroes on my main PC for a long time, it has the original version that I got from Steam when I bought it. Then, sometime between that happening and just a couple days ago, they took away LAN support.
I was given Company of Heroes as a gift, and I installed it. As I go into the game to play, everything is locked, and it says I need a valid CD Key. The other missions are DLC you have to buy, opposing front and tales of courage #3. Aug 9, 2013 @ 6:14pm I don't know, it should all be automatic and you shouldn't. You should consider to submit your own serial numbers or share other files with the community just as someone else helped you with Company of Heroes:Opposing Fronts serial number. Sharing is caring and that is the only way to keep our scene, our community alive.
People who bought the game after that, like I did, can only download the 'Steam version' which doesn't have LAN. If I had suitable connection to play online I wouldn't really mind, but I'm stuck now. [EDIT: Oh, I bought a second copy to install onto my laptop (which is on another account) so I could play it with my nephew when he comes over. I kind of got him into WWII games and thought Company of Heroes would be a bunch of fun].
